We've Got The County Covered
The September 18, 2022 meeting of the Big Flat 4-H club was called to order at 2:00 at the Turner Christian Church. Members present Hannah and Natalie Richman, Hannah and Isabella Van Voast, Piper and Avery Fox, Hudson and Mary Simons and Jessa Schroeder. Leaders present were Shannon Van Voast, Bobbi Schroeder and Hilary Richman. The minutes from the July meeting were approved as read. Natalie Richman led the American Pledge and Hannah Richman led the 4-H Pledge. Roll call was your favorite thing about 4-H this year.
Old Business
Hudson gave a report on Communications Day. Everyone gave a report on the fair.
New Business
National 4-H week was October 2 – 8. A committee was formed to make a window display at Big Flat Grocery. Hannah Richman had an idea for a window display. The committee to make the window display was Hannah and Natalie Richman, Hannah and Isabella Van Voast and Avery Fox. A calendar committee was formed to set the calendar for the 2022 – 2023 4-H year. Hannah and Natalie Richman, Hannah and Isabella Van Voast, Piper and Avery Fox are on the committee.
After the meeting Shannon handed out awards to all members for their years of service. Piper Fox gave a demonstration on “Human Safe Dog Treats” and Avery Fox gave a demonstration on “Scotcharoos.”
