Blaine County Library

October 26, 2022

The Blaine County Library Board of Trustees will hold their regular monthly meeting Monday October 31st at 4:30 p.m.

Be sure to bring your little ones in to the library on Halloween. We will be handing out treat bags!

This week we have books available from our patron's favorite authors. John Grisham returns to Mississippi with the riveting story of two sons of immigrant families who grow up as friends, but ultimately find themselves on opposite sides of the law in "The Boys from Biloxi." "The Winners" by Frederick Backman is book 3 in the Beartown series. It's a story about first loves, second chances, and last goodbyes. "Mad Honey" by Jodi Picoult is a riveting novel of suspense, an unforgettable love story, and a moving and powerful exploration of the secrets we keep and the risks we take in order to become ourselves. "Babysitter" by Joyce Carol Oates is a novel about love and deceit, and lust and redemption, against a backdrop of shocking murders in the affluent suburbs of Detroit. "Our Missing Hearts" by Celeste Ng is an inspiring new novel about a mother's unbreakable love in a world consumed by fear.

October is Cyber Security Month. We are planning to have Triangle come next month to do an Internet Security Training. We'll have details on that soon.

The library is going to do Hassle Free Christmas this year, however it will look a little different from years past. We are planning to have an open house in the library and vendors in the meeting room on Saturday December 3rd from 2:00-5:00. The Bell Choir will be playing this year. We are planning to have activities for the little ones in the library, so the adults can peruse the vendors. If you or someone you know is interested in being a vendor, contact the library. Space will be limited, so do wait.
