The Harlem Lady Cats are preparing this week for the District 2B Girls Basketball Tournament in Malta this Thursday, Friday and Saturday. The Lady Cats will be looking to make some magic again this year after their stellar run a season ago.

This years team though is far younger with far less experience. The Lady Cats have shown a ton of heart all season but have struggled to find the win column. Harlem finished the regular season 0-8 in District 2B play and 3-15 overall.

Harlem will begin their tournament as the No. 5 seed and take on the No. 4 seeded Glasgow Scotties in the girls tournament opener Thursday afternoon at 4:30 pm.

Harlem lost both games to the Scotties in the regular season. First a 49-40 setback in Harlem and then a 57-15 loss to the Scotties in the season finale in Glasgow. The top four teams from the District 2B tournament will advance to the Northern B Divisional
