American Legion Post #48 Celebrates 104 Years

April 19, 2023

Teagan Britt, Junior member of American Legion Auxiliary Unit #48, serves cake and ice cream to Lowell Long, Commander of American Legion Post #48 and Commander of American Legion Dept of Montana.

The American Legion Post #48 of Chinook held its monthly meeting on Tuesday, March 22, 2023. This happened to be a special meeting as District 2 Commander Jed Damson made a post visitation; Post 48 welcomed its newest member Miranda Helzer; and the American Legion Auxiliary Unit #48 presented the Post members a cake in honor of the American Legions 104th birthday anniversary.

It's a very significant and impressive milestone when you consider that in this day and age an organization that supports our service men and women, as well as strong patriotism throughout our country, is still going strong.

L to R: Miranda Helyer, newest member of Post #48; Jed Damson, District 2 Commander; Roger Fischer, 2nd Vice Commander of Post #48; and Lowell Long, Commander of the Dept. of MT and Post #48.
