Harlem Elementary enjoys Annual Track & Field Day

May 31, 2023

Harlem Elementary students create a gigantic "2023" on the football field to kick off and commemorate their annual Track and Field Day.

As per tradition, Harlem Elementary held its annual Track and Field Day on Friday, May 19th. Intuitive P.E. teacher, Mr. Moe Denham, again managed to choose the perfect day for the event; even the smoky air seemed to stay away for the kids' special track meet. The students' families were on hand to cheer on their tracksters, and were also treated to sub sandwiches and chips for lunch, compliments of Ft. Belknap Indian Community Programs, and served by Leslie Horn, Pat Cole, and Cheryl Horn. Greg Rider also provided much appreciated port-a-potties. This favorite day of the school year turned out to be a huge success, and all in attendance had a great time. A huge thank you to everyone who donated their time and efforts, ensuring our students enjoyed their wonderful day.

These impressive Harlem Elementary athletes were tops in their categories, and were awarded MVP trophies after Track and Field Day. Back row: Rosie Day, Colte LaPlante, Syrena BlackWolf, Madden Stiffarm, and Marleigh Martinez. Front row: Isaiah Sanchez, KassandraWalker , Oakley Martinez, and Aliana Dennis. Additional MVPs not pictured include: Xander Young, Zaya Stiles, Jacob Wilson, Vada Stiles, and Trenton Horn.
