Milk River Churches hold joint worship at Zurich Park

August 16, 2023

Members of the Milk River Churches gathered for their August joint worship service at the lodge at Zurich Park. About 40 from the four participating churches joined together for worship and a potluck following.

Each first Sunday of the month the four churches that joined to form the Milk River Churches hold a joint worship, typically rotating among the three churches in Chinook (Methodist, American Lutheran and Presbyterian) and the Havre Presbyterian Church. For a summer break from the pattern the coordinating committee opted to hold a Saturday night campout and a Sunday worship and potluck lunch at the Zurich Park lodge. About 40 people attended and all four churches were well represented. It was a beautiful day and the park and lodge had been well prepared.

The schedule for first Sunday joint worships is yet to be determine for the fall startup in September. Theresa Danley, a Certified Lay Pastor leads the joint worship each month and then rotates through the four churches the rest of the Sunday in the month.
