Shannon Rose Hanley "Peigan Woman". Shan, 64, went to be with her loved ones early on September 16th, 2023 at Fort Belknap Hospital. Services took place on September 20th, 2023. Following her back home from Chinook at 10:00 am, Mass were at 11-11:30 am, Burial followed.
Shan known as "Big Shan", was born March 30th, 1959, to the late Jo Anne and Morris Brockie Sr. She attended school at Mission Elementary School, and Hays High School. She was married to Francis James "Pierre" Hanley on September 8th, 1984, in Hays Montana. She worked as a camp crew fire fighter taking care of the cooking. Shan was a respected cook and loved to clean, crochet, and spend time with her puppies known to her as her "babies". She was a great cowgirl and cowhand on her family's ranch. She not only enjoyed outdoor cowgirl activities such as barrel racing, but she also loved to be inside helping cook and take care of the home. Shannon was a family woman and always said "family first". She loved all her nieces and nephews, and extended family dearly.
Shan is proceeded in death by her parents Jo Anne Marie Brockie and Morris Brockie Sr., her paternal grandparents Clarence and Mary Brockie of Hays, Montana, her maternal grandparents Roger and Cleo LaValley of Dodson, Montana. Her husband Pierre Hanley, Her brothers Morris "Mike" Brockie Jr., and James "Jim" Brockie. Her daughter Jade Maria Hanley, and her grandbabies Little Red Cradle Girl and Bronson Pierre James Hanley.
She is survived by her children Mauna-Loa Brockie and Tyler Hanley Sr., Her brothers John (Janice) Brockie, Donovan "Donnie" (Michelle) Brockie, and Monte Brockie. Her grandchildren Tyrus, Joshanna, Tela, and Winter Brockie. Tyler James Hanley Jr. "TJ", and Keira Gardipee. As well as her great- grandchildren Brickie, Rose, Pierre, Cohen, Corbyn, and Lorenzo.
