Hello From the Chinook Social Senior Center!
We continue to have more & more fun here, with the Cornhole, the Billiards, the Cribbage & the Bingo.
Several of our local people adventured off on the Senior Connection tour bus with Steve Edwards and his lovely wife Sherry, to Cincinnati to visit the “Replica of the Ark”. They all came back happy that they had gone and filled us in with marvelous stories. Rose Noel, Janet Gruszie, Pam Davidson & Sharon Taylor are a few of our local ladies who went on this trip and are glad that they did.
Perhaps we can all join them on their next excursion. Adventure is waiting…
We have several fun things coming up, soon. Thursday, Oct. 5th @ 7:00, Mark Vitaris, author, will be presenting his book Borderlands, along with Sam French, our local Museum Director. This is Free to the public and light refreshments will be served. This is a BEAUTIFUL book. I have purchased one already & encourage you to come & check this out!
We are still conducting our Walk with Ease classed, each Monday & Wednesday. We are meeting here at 10:00.
POETS & PICKERS will be back here on Tuesday, October 10th @ 1:00, which will tie in beautifully with Virginia Olson’s 102nd Birthday party to be held the same day, right here, at the Chinook Social Senior Center! Cake & Coffee will be served in her honor. What a fabulous Centenarian this lovely woman is. We will be going together to celebrate her in Great Falls for the Governor’s Conference on Aging. I am overjoyed that she & her wonderful daughter, Mary Lou Butcher will be joining us.
Paint with Jack Brandon classes will begin on Wednesday, October 18th @ 1:00. I am creative, but not artistic, so I am joining this class & am looking very forward to it. Please call or stop by & sign up. We would like to know how many to prepare for.
Pinochole Marthon will begin soon, so either call us at 357-2648 or stop into the Center & sign up!
We will be having a Halloween Costume Party on Oct. 31st from 2:00 to 4:00. There will be prizes & great snacks & fun.
