Blaine County Library

Wednesday Homeschool Hour 1:00-2:00, Board Games/Drawing 4:00-5:00, and Teen Scene 6:00-7:00 (10/4 and 10/18). Thursday LEGO Club 4:00-5:00. Friday Movie Day 2:00-3:30. Saturday 10/7 and Sunday 10/8 we will be at Finley’s Pumpkin Patch from 10:00 to 4:00. The library will be closed 10/9 for Indigenous Peoples’ Day, and 10/10-10/11 for staff meetings. .

Harlem Library

The Book Challenge for October is to read a cozy mystery! The library will be closed Oct. 9 in observance of Indigenous Peoples’ Day/Columbus Day. The Friends of the Library annual membership meeting will be held Oct. 11, 6 P.M. in the library meeting room. A free soup supper will be served followed by the business meeting. All current members and new members are welcome. Annual dues are $10. The free virtual program

“Hauntings of Montana” with Ellen Baumler will be presented Oct. 12, 6:30 -8:00 P.M. Register at tinyurl.com/hauntingsMT and join us for a watch party at the library, or you may view on your own device. Steve Hughes, formally of Harlem, will be at the library October 13, 7 P.M., sharing about his trip to western Mongolia where he assisted a friend film a documentary this past summer. He will give a slide presentation and answer questions..


Bear Paw Cooperative

The Bear Paw Cooperative, through your local school district, assists in the provision of special education and related services to children with disabilities. Through a process called Child Find, your local school district accepts referrals, provides evaluations and special education for children ages 3-21 years if they qualify. Please contact your local school district or the Bear Paw Cooperative at 406-357-2269.

Harlem Food Bank

The Harlem Food Bank is beginning their Annual Drive for Funds. The Town Pump has offered to match up to $2500.00 if we can raise that much. We have always been successful in the past and hope to be again this year. The ending date is October 31, 2023. Thank you to everyone who chooses to participate.

Blaine County Museum

The museum has invited Calgary photographer Mark Vitaris to speak about his book Borderlands at the Chinook Senior Center on Thursday, October 5th at 7 PM. This event will be the first of the museum’s 2023 Off-Season Speaker Series. Vitaris will be selling and signing copies of Borderlands following his presentation. Block Builders Quilt Guild

Block Builders, October 10, at 7 pm in the Library meeting room. Bring a landscape fat quarter.

JUMP (Chinook)
