The Chinook Sugarbeeters hosted the Rocky Boy Stars this past Saturday in their final home contest of the season. Looking to even their record at 3-3, the 'Beeters did just that with an easy 62-0 win. Chinook had seven players find the end zone and forced seven Rocky Boy turnovers in the lopsided win. The 'Beeters honored their three seniors before the contest and tried to get them involved in some interesting ways.

The 'Beeters are very young and have a talented group of underclassman that got plenty of time to show the coaches what they could do, but in the beginning the focus was on the seniors.

The 'Beeters won the coin toss and deffered to the second half giving Rocky Boy the ball to start the contest. The 'Beeters recorded tackles for loss on the Stars first three plays from scrimmage and punted the ball to the 'Beeters where they took over at the 39 yard line of Rocky Boy.

Junior Landon Beck wasted little time getting the 'Beeters on the scoreboard with a 39 yard touchdown with 10:21 on the game clock. Beck added the conversion run and a quick 8-0 lead. On the ensuing kickoff the Stars began their second possession deep in their own territory. On first down senior Kaden Green came up with a fumble recovery putting the offense back in business at the Rocky Boy 11 yard line.

Three plays later the 'Beeters found paydirt once again. Senior Jackson Nordboe connected with Green on a one yard touchdown pass. Chinook added the two-point conversion to lead 16-0 with 9:59 on the first quarter clock. Following another Rocky Boy fumble the 'Beeters were back in business at the Rocky Boy 9 yard line. This time senior Danny Mackenzie lined up in the backfield, picked up a fumble, and scampered nine yards for the 'Beeters third touchdown in a row. Junior Jacob Metcalf added the conversion kick for a 23-0 'Beeter lead.

With time winding down in the first quarter the Stars had a few positive plays under their belt. Sophomore Griff Crowley played excellent coverage and came up with the interception, returning it to the Rocky Boy 21 yard line. The 'Beeter offense once again started deep in Rocky Boy territory and wasted little time in finding the end zone. Freshman Ryan Bell connected with junior Oliver Standiford for a 21 yard touchdown pass giving the 'Beeters a 29-0 lead with 6:17 remaining in the first quarter,

Head Coach, Mike Jones, wasted no time in beginning to rotate players in the game and getting the younger kids plenty of experience. The teams traded possessions for the rest of the first quarter. In the second quarter the 'Beeters scored again, this time on a 24 yard run from freshman Walter Schoen, Beck added the conversion kick for a 36-0 'Beeter lead. Chinook scored again with 2:20 remaining in the half on a 18 yard run from sophomore Owen Davies. Chinook would go into halftime with a 42-0 lead. The 'Beeters scored their six touchdowns with six different players.

With a running clock to start the second half the 'Beeters wasted little time putting points on the board. Beck returned the second half kickoff 70 yards to the endzone, Metcalf added the conversion kick to give Chinook a 49-0 lead. The third quarter quickly came to and end with neither team scoring. Freshman Patrick Mackenzie was the seventh 'Beeter to record a touchdown after rushing 30 yards to the end zone, Metcalf added another conversion kick to make the score 56-0 with 9:39 left on the game clock. Following another Star fumble the 'Beeters were back in business. Mackenzie scored again on a 18 yard run to provide the final points in a 62-0 win.

Coach Jones was proud of his seniors, "I thought the team played well as a unit. It was nice to get the seniors their touches on senior night. I'm extremely proud and thankful of these seniors and what they have done for the program. it was great to see them step up this year and become leaders." The 'Beeters will conclude their season Friday night in Belt as they take on the Huskies.
