Karesa Rae Fox

Karesa Rae Fox, 43, went home to heaven on October 19, 2023.

Karesa was born on March 27, 1980 in Fort Belknap Hospital to Katherine Fox and Amos First Raised Jr. She was raised in Hays for most of her young life. Her uncles, aunties and Kooshie and Papa had a hand in helping raise her. She in turn gave her love and attention to her niece and nephew, Dontae and Mattea Fox. She attended Mission Grade School and Harlem Elementary; then graduated from Harlem High with high honors in the National Honor Society in 1999.

After high school she worked various jobs as a store clerk for Kwik Stop and EZ Mart before she decided to pursue her career. She received her A.A. from Aaniiih Nakoda College. Then proceeded to receive Her BSN from Salish Kootenai College. She worked as a Registered Nurse in various medical facilities in Kalispell, Ronan, Pablo and Billings. She loved helping people and was so generous and always good hearted. Her greatest joy and gift she gave was end of life care for her loved ones.

Karesa loved to attend powwows and listen to powwow music She loved to bead and make beaded dream catchers for family and friends. She also loved and collected beadwork from all over. Baking, cruising the canyon and watching NFR and UFC were some of her favorite things to do. Karesa made friends so easily and held all her friendships near and dear to her heart. She also cherished her Class of '99 classmates and always kept in touch with all of them.

She made lasting friendships with medical staff who helped care for her also.

Karesa loved all of her nieces and nephews with a mother's heart.

Karesa is preceded by her father Amos, brothers Amos III, Gerald and sister Melvina, her paternal grandparents Amos First Raised Sr, and Melvina 'Tiny' First Raised; maternal grandparents Quentin 'Papa' and Lily 'Koosh' Fox.

Survivors include her mother Katherine, brothers; Roy Fox, Bill Bell (Courtney), Daniel First Raised and Shawn Bigler, sisters; Diana First Raised and Avis Ball, Great Uncle James Cochran numerous nieces, nephews, aunties, uncles, cousins and friends.

We cherished our Tweety Bird and will miss her beautiful and good hearted kindness.
