Tonight is the “Silver Bells” Holiday Wine and Cheese Fundraiser hosted by the Friends of the Harlem Library from 6:00 - 8:00 P.M. at the library. Tickets are on sale at the door for adults age twenty-one and over for $15.00. Included are a live and silent auction, delicious refreshments, musical entertainment, 50/50 raffle, wine tasting, and door prizes. There will also be a selection of cook books on sale. The library is closed today in preparation for the event. Join us for a fun evening and support your library.

There is no After School Squad today or Lego Club on Thursday, December 7.

The Book Challenge for December is to read a book about music, musicians or bands. You may win a gift certificate from a local business.

The library has free at-home Covid tests kits available.

New titles added to the Christmas Book Tree include “Twas the Bite Before Christmas,” an Andy Carpenter mystery by David Rosenfelt; “Meet Me at Christmas” by Jenny Hale; “Agatha Christie: Hercule Poirot’s Silent Night” by Sophie Hannah; “The Book Club Hotel” by Sarah Morgan; “Christmas Presents” by Lisa Unger; and “The Twelve Dogs of Christmas” by Susan Wiggs.

Other new titles ready for check out include “Traitors Gate” by Jeffrey Archer. Once per year the Crown Jewels are secretly transported from the Tower of London across the city.
