Chinook Senior Center

December 13, 2023

Hello from the Chinook Social Senior Center!

We are very busy around here, preparing for Christmas & the many fun activities here at our wonderful Center! It seems the same each year! Pretty soon, we run out of days! We’ll get there, before Christmas does!!

I certainly hope that you were some of the people who life has dealt a “grief journey” to that came & helped us hang Cardinals & Candles in memory of those that we have loved & miss. It seems that the holidays are far more poignant to those of us with fractured hearts. Yet, we know that God’s promises never come back void and we trust in HIS promises to see our loved ones again. HE did go to prepare a place for us, all.

Perhaps you were one of the generous people with a heart for our community & our Center who donated an item or came to support our FIRST FUNDRAISER AUCTION? THANK YOU! THANK YOU! It truly does take a village of caring, kind people to come together & support all of our causes. You are very much appreciated & I am certain that God, will indeed bless you for what you do!

It is the time of year when many of us look around and realize how very truly blessed we are & we reach out to those less fortunate. God sees all of that. He has plans to bless your generosity. He always has ways to grow what we give & to pay it forward.

PLEASE remember that Jack Mattingly will be speaking, here at our Center on Wed., Dec. 13th @ 5:30! He is the 3rd of the Speakers in a series that I am partnering with Sam French (Blaine County Museum Director) on. Jack will be speaking on the history of the Methodist church in Montana & Blaine County, and its ties to famed circuit rider: Brother William Wesley Van Orsdel. I will be serving Charcuterie boards & beverages. GET IN HERE!!

Wednesday, December 20th: 2:00-4:00 p.m., we will have Edith Bilger here for her 100th Birthday celebration. What a milestone to be a centenarian! Wow! She is just a kid compared to Virginia Olson! We have so very much to learn from these people of knowledge! Come & celebrate with Edith, share her Birthday & cake & make a very special memory for her! Laurie Sue Rigg will be your hostess!
