In her earlier years Yvonne was one of the original Valley Girls along with her late sisters Karen and Carla. Upon her years at the Valley, she was behind the scenes in raising and training quarter horses and belonged to the American Quarter Horse Association and owned very beautiful horses. Yvonne attended Harlem Schools and graduated from Haskell Indian College, Lawrence KS. She worked with the BIA until she retired.

She is survived by her son Myron (Linda) Gwin, brothers Frank (Edna) Ball, and Robert Allen Ball, several nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren who all love her very much. She will be greatly missed. Her last loving word of advice was Mneheychiah, make yourself strong.
