Hello From the Chinook Social Senior Center!

Well, January finally got over. All 90 days of it . Now, on to February! That one doesn’t seem to last quite as long, thankfully.

We got some needed moisture & there is more coming! Yay! We are in desperate need of more moisture in our parched lands. When we think about how many days that we have been seeing fog, it looks as though we will also have a very wet Spring.

Today is the final day of our partnership, for this season, with the Blaine County Museum and Sam French, museum director, in hosting the speaker series. So many of us have truly enjoyed these. Every single one has offered a wealth of knowledge and history and have been enjoyed by all. I am hoping that this will become a yearly tradition that we are able to share in.

We have had fun with our Paint by Number class. We always have fun with our Paint with Jack classes. Jack is such a patient instructor. If you haven’t joined us for this one, you should! Several groups have been coming in to play Pinochle Marathon. This season will end at the last of April. Nine teams are playing this year. If you haven’t partaken in this, you should!

HI-LINE ESTATE PLANNING WORKSHOPS!!

Dr. Marsha Goetting will be at the Harlem Senior Center on Friday, Feb. 15th @ 1:00 p.m., speaking about Transfering Your Farm or Ranch to the Next Generation

Dr. Marsha Goetting will then be at the Hill County Chuckwagon @ the Great Northern Fairgrounds (Havre) on Friday, Feb. 15th @ 6:30, speaking on Legacy Planning: Paving the Way for your Children

Dr. Marsha Goetting will be HERE, at the CHINOOK SOCIAL SENIOR CENTER on Friday, Feb. 16th @ 9:00 a.m. speaking on Tools for Avoiding Probate. These should be very engaging and will provide very necessary information for our aging population.

Our Valentine party will be held here, at the Center on Wed., Feb. 14th @ 1:00! We will have lots of games, goodies and fun for everyone. We will be crowning a King & Queen. Please come and join in on the fun.
