Local DAR Chapter Announces Good Citizen Winners

The Black Eagle-Assinniboine Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution presented Good Citizen awards at the chapter's George Washington Tea on Saturday, February 10th at the Meadow Lark Country Club. Good Citizen Chair Laura Park and Regent Selene Thomas presented a certificate and pin to all Good Citizen winners. This year's winners are Clayton Jassen from Belt High School, Cooper Taylor from Big Sandy High School, Seth McKamey from Cascade High School, Quentin Edwards from Chinook High School, Brylee Stordahl from Conrad High School, Indy Goodhart from Geyser High School, Nicole Nau from North Toole County Jr/Sr High School, Quinci Neuman from Power High School, and Macy Herman from Sun River Valley High School.

Each student had the opportunity to submit an essay packet for judging and the winner would receive a check from the chapter. This year's Good Citizen Essay winner is Nicole Nau from North Toole County Jr/Sr High School. Nicole packet was sent to the MSSDAR State Good Citizen Chair and was selected as the Montana State winner. Her packet is now awaiting judging for the Northwestern Division. Nicole will receive a certificate, medal and check for $1000 at the MSSDAR State Conference in Billings in May.
