The Silence in Her Eyes” is written by Armando Lucas Correa. Leah lives with a rare neurological disorder that causes her to be unable to see movement, experiencing the world only as blurry images. But her other senses work overtime and she misses very little. When Alice moves in next door, Leah learns she is divorcing her abusive husband. One night Leah wakes up and knows someone is in her apartment before she blacks out. The next morning she hears Alice through wall pleading for help. Leah makes a decision that will test her courage and her sanity.

Two new mysteries include “Everyone on This Train Is a Suspect” by Benjamin Stevenson, the author of “Everyone in My Family Has Killed Someone. “The Lantern’s Dance” by Laurie R. King features Mary Russell and Sherlock Holmes.

Amy Pease has written “Northwoods.” When a body of a teenage boy is found in the lake near a Wisconsin resort town, it sets in motion an investigation that leads to a wealthy enclave with a violent past, a pharmaceutical salesman, and a missing teenage girl.

Two inspirational novels are “Up From the Dust: Martha’s Story” by Heather Kaufman and “A Season of Harvest,” the fourth installment in the Leah’s Garden series by Lauraine Snelling.
