Hello From the Chinook Social Senior Center

Another great week was had here at the Chinook Social Senior Center! We have had another day of Gene Allen’s entertainment. It is always wonderful to listen to his talents on both guitar as well as vocals. I feel richly blessed when he tells me that he would love to come.

We also had Dr. Marsha Goetting here, from Bozeman, last week for a very informative workshop on Estate planning. She is tremendously knowledgeable. I had met her last October at the Governor’s conference on Aging, in Great Falls, where she also presented very well. Hopefully, for those of you who could not make this one, we will be able to get her back. A number of things have changed in the last couple of years regarding wills which in turn might change our minds about thinking that we have everything taken care of.

We have another “Workshop” coming up on Tuesday, March 5th from 3:00 to 5:00, presented by our county extension agents. This one will be on feral hogs and how they affect our agricultural business.

Friday, March 8th we will be hosting Terry Tilleman’s 90th birthday party from 2:00-4:00. Please come and share your good wishes with this lovely lady and have cake & coffee with her.

Friday, March 15th Steve Edwards assures me that we will be having fun celebrating St. Uhro’s day. Now, I have never partaken of this, but we will have a special menu for this. Keeping Lent in mind, it will be a fish stew. Evidently there is more to this St. Uhro’s day, which I personally have never heard of. We will be finding out.
