Hello From the Chinook Social Senior Center

As we continue on towards spring we are seeing many changes in our weather pattern, as we likely knew would happen, here in our wonderful state of Montana, so enjoy the journey!

Our Blaine County Extension office shared some truly insightful information regarding the Feral Swine concerns for any of us who live in Blaine County and more especially those of us who are involved in agriculture, in any way, whether it be ranching or crops of any kind. These are very destructive animals that populate at an alarming rate and who are capable of a tremendous amount of damage to our lands. If you haven’t had the opportunity to learn about this, contact our extension office.

Our Area Director was here for a very informative message on Monday. It is always a delight to share time with her.

Our Foot Clinic is back in session tomorrow, after a long absence. We are delighted to have the opportunity to partner with A-Plus health care, once again. If you haven’t been reached for an appointment, please call us here @ 357-2648 and we will be glad to schedule you in for our next Foot Clinic.

We will once again, be hosting a CARD PARTY on Friday, March 15th from 1:00-5:00. We will also be hosting another CARD PARTY on Friday, March 22nd from 1:00-5:00. Please call us and let us know if you would like to come and join the fun!

We will also, as Steve Edwards assures me, be enjoying a day called St. Urho’s Day on Friday, March 15th. This will include some “festive” foods that are a part of this celebration. I have never partaken of this, so please know that we will be serving a Cod Chowder, as well as a Tomato Soup, served with Goldfish crackers (to keep the fish swimming). I understand that this meal will also include a Chocolate Cake and a special cracker, called Hardtack. Please call and sign up for this special occasion in advance.
