In a landmark collaboration, Western Native Voice and Branch Politics are proud to unveil the newest edition of Ballot Builder-an innovative nonpartisan voting tool-now live in Montana.
Recognizing that voters are motivated most by the state and local issues that impact their everyday lives, Western Native Voice and Branch Politics have collaborated to empower voters with transparent, accurate information about where candidates stand on the issues that matter most.
"Western Native Voice is excited about the launch of Ballot Builder. This tool was created to empower Native American voters to make informed decisions about every candidate and simplify complex ballot initiatives," stated Ronnie Jo Horse, Executive Director of Western Native Voice. "It's a step towards ensuring voters feel more confident when exercising their right to vote."
Ballot Builder helps voters easily understand what is on their ballot before they go to vote, in a nonpartisan way. Voters simply go to wnv.branch.vote and enter their address, and Ballot Builder walks them through everything they'll see on their unique ballot, including what the offices do, who the candidates are, and where they stand on key issues.
"Federal politics is often the focus of election season, and people are jaded by federal politics (and rightly so)," said Walter Ley, Founder of the Ballot Builder product. "People now have an easy way to understand that their vote matters a lot at the state and local level. We're super excited to support Western Native Voice in their extraordinary work to combat this pervasive sense of apathy."
Ballot Builder has already reached over 60,000 voters, helping them to navigate their ballots with confidence and informed understanding. This initiative marks an important milestone as Montana joins the growing list of states where voters can access our tailored, bipartisan educational tools and sample ballots.
