Blaine County Blessings (Thank You, Mom)

My dad died in an accident when I was 3 ½ years old, leaving my mom to raise 10 kids on a small farm in Minnesota. I don’t know how she managed although she did receive some help from the county. I do know that she faithfully took us to the small country church near our home. In looking back, I am reminded of the story in Mark 12 about the widow who put two small coins in the offering. Jesus said, “This poor widow put in more than all the others.” I’m so grateful for the faith that she modeled to me, that has carried me through the good times and the hard times in my life, such as the recent loss of my dear son, Bob
