Harlem Library

June 21, 2017

Come to the library and cool off this summer! We have cozy seating as well as magazines and newspapers in the Reading Room. Families are encouraged to come in to read and play in the children’s area. If you are traveling check out an audio book and make the miles fly by.

It is my great pleasure to announce that the Harlem Library is now a member of MontanaLibrary2Go. Download free ebooks and audio books using your library card. Thanks to the Friends of the Library for making this possible. Stop by or call the library for more information.

“No Easy Target” is the new suspense novel by Iris Johansen. Margaret Douglas’s painful past led to the discovery of her special gift. As a child living in an abusive home she escaped to the nearby forest where she learned of her ability to communicate with animals. Now others wish to take advantage and use her gift for their own purposes.

Ginny Moon is no ordinary teenager. She has moved from one foster home to another until she has finally found her forever home. Ginny is also autistic and had a secret plan of escape. She uses any and all means to get back what’s missing in her life. “Ginny Moon” is by Benjamin Ludwig.

Bestselling author John Sandford brings to readers the novel “Golden Prey.” Lucas Davenport has a new position with the U.S. Marshal’s Service. His first case leads him to Biloxi, Mississippi, where suitcases full of cash are robbed from a drug-cartel counting house leaving behind five bodies, including a six-year-old girl.

“Against All Odds” is by Danielle Steel. Kate’s resale shop in SoHo has been successful and has supported her four children since the untimely death of their father. Now her children are ready to go out on their own and against their mother’s wishes are playing against the odds. Can the odds be beaten? Can Kate learn she can’t protect her children from the choices they make?

Other new arrivals include nonfiction titles “Good Friday on the Rez: A Pine Ridge Odyssey” by David Hugh Bunnell and “The Road to Jonestown: Jim Jones and Peoples Temple” by Jeff Guinn.
