Lemonade Stand helps out Harlem Food Bank

July 26, 2017

This week in Harlem some girls made a difference. They set up a lemonade stand which isn't that unusual. The weather certainly demanded one as it was between 90 and 100 degrees. The first day they sold enough lemonade to make $14.05. The decision of what to do with that money came next. They wanted to do something charitable with the money. The final decision was to give it to the Harlem Food Bank. It was a wonderful and kind thing for them to do. The next day they did this all over again and made $52.61. This was so much fun for them that the third day they set up in front of Albertsons and sold $101.84 in lemonade sales. In total they made $168.50. This will be used for part of the match when town Pump gives a $1000.00 we will need to match this fall so this will double the amount they raised. A great big thank you goes to the girls who took this on in the hot days of summer. They were Izzie Baker, Niche'la Farrar, Hannah and Natalie Richman, A.J Collins, and one little boy Ozzie Baker. Thanks to them as this will help give food to those who are in need. Jack L. Siemens, Manager of the Harlem Food Bank.
