A wild start at the Indian Relay Race in Dodson

Five teams represented Fort Belknap and Blaine County at the Phillips County Fair Indian Relay Races on Sunday afternoon. Indian Relay races begin with a rider on the ground. When the signal to start is given, the riders jump on the horses to begin the first of four laps. The horses are ridden bareback and with all the excitement there is a lot of chaos at the starting line as well as when mounts are switched after each lap.
