The All-Class State Cross Country meet was held this past Saturday at UofM Golf Course in Missoula. The Harlem Boys team shined bright at the State Meet. The boys qualified as a team and earned a 6th place finish out of 27 teams. Individually, it was Ethan Walker who led the way for the Wildcats. The Harlem Wildcats and Lady Cats Cross Country played host to the last regular season meet for Blaine County Athletes. Harlem finished fist as a team and freshman, Ethan Walker led the pack finishing the course in 16:33.37. Sophomore Jayvon Bigknife earned a second place finish with a time of 17:24.30. The Sugarbeeters took on the Glassgow Scotties Thursday night. In a five set thriller it was the Scotties who took home the victory. The Beeters lost Set one in a close 21-25 battle over the Scotties. They were able to bounce back and took Set two 25-20. Set three belonged to the Scotties as they took the win, 16-25. Both Chinook and Harlem Cross Country were in Cut Bank on Friday where they competed in the Mike Reynolds Time Trials. CHINOOK On the girls' side, sophomore Ashlyn Ford ran her way to a first place finish. Ford finished the course in a time of 19:50.43. Ford's time also helped her punch her ticket to the State Meet in Missoula on October 26. Last Sunday marked the date for the Chinook Rod and Gun Club's First Annual 22 Cal. Turkey Shoot. The newest event for the club was held at their shooting range three miles south of Chinook on the Clear Creek road. The rules that were established by the club are as follows: For the youth division, the targets were placed at the 25 yard line and shooters were able to load and shoot 5 rounds.
