Northwestern Energy has been working day and night getting power back up and running the past few days. The weather in Montana is always unpredictable especially on the Highline and this past Monday we were made aware of just how crazy it can get. The Chinook Rod & Gun Club will hold its Fifth Annual Gun Show this Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the Commercial Building located at the Blaine County Fairgrounds. The Gun Show is the primary fund raiser for the club and has another great show lined up for the weekend. Harlem Senior Center hosted its second annual Senior Sensations event recently. The day long gathering featured presentations on everything from adult protective services to support groups for caregivers. Vivienne F. Deming Kimball Brainard, 94 passed away on September 21st 2017 at Sweet Memorial Nursing Home in Chinook, Montana. Vivienne was born on March 20th 1923, Harlem, Montana to Raymond W. & Ada May Deming. She attended Chinook High School. After high school she married William H. The Blaine County Sheriff's Office and Chinook Police Department are using a new web-based software that will improve crime statistics reporting and streamline dispatch operations that serve both agencies. The Chinook Sugarbeeters football team took on the Simms Tigers this past Friday in a homecoming game that had postseason implications on the line. The Sugarbeeters and the Tigers each carried 2-3 into the contest and a win would allow postseason chances to remain intact. I am sorry that MSU lost, but I am very happy that the Griz finally won a road game and now that curse is behind them.
