A huge Manitowoc crane carefully sets the first 148 foot span for the new North Fork bridge southwest of Zurich. The first attempt to set the span in mid-July was thwarted when wind gusts kicked up to 35+ miles per hour. The span, one of two on the longest segment of the new bridge, weighs 77,000 pounds and had to be set in place as a completed unit.
