This photo was taken the first week in September as this 200 acre field of industrial hemp was being combined. When plants reach maturity the male plants die and the female plants lose their leaves with only the pod of seeds remaining to be combined. The field was on the Dick and Nellie Jo Nicholson farm and part of Montana's pilot program to grow industrial hemp.
