  • Mule Deer Buck Shot South of Chinook, Wardens Seeking Information

    Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks Region 6 game wardens are seeking any information regarding a mule deer buck that was shot and left about sixteen miles south of Chinook, sometime on or around Nov. 14. The head was removed from the deer, and all the meat was left to waste. The incident occurred on private property about 1.5 miles east of the Chinook Clear Creek Rd., near the junction with the Havre Clear Creek Road.     FSA’s Livestock Forage Disaster Program (LFP) provides compensation to eligible livestock producers who suffer grazing losses for covered livestock due to drought on privately owned or cash leased land, or fire on federally managed land.     The Annual Bazaar held at Aaniiih Nakoda College this past weekend featured 16 vendors that gave shoppers a wide selection of homemade crafts and food items.     The Blaine County Fair Foundation recently received a $1000 challenge grant.
