On Friday afternoon, November 11th, Harlem Elementary staff and students held an assembly to honor and give thanks to all of our community veterans. The Bear Paw Giant Downhill and Zombie Stroll on Saturday, Oct. 29, delivered on its promise as several finishers admitted recording personal best times. A total of nine runners and 17 zombie strollers enjoyed sunny 55-degree weather with a slight tail wind. The Big Flat came through in a big way, again! The Big Flat Catholic Youth sponsored a food drive to help stock the Harlem Ministerial Catholic Food Bank shelves. The drive was done a bit differently this year as they asked for food at the local Big Flat Grocery Store as well as other churches on the Big Flat. Jean's Old Fashioned Bakery was a favorite among residents across the Hi-line from the time Jean opened her doors until the sad day in July of 2013 when she decided to close them. The 2022 Midterm Elections were held this past Tuesday and Blaine County Voters reelected Sheriff John Colby and Shane Fox won the race for Blaine County Commissioner District No. 2.
