Jamieson Motors offered warm welcome during wintry evening

Matt Langford, left, and Jason Metcalf, right, are the fourth generation of family to be involved with Jamieson Motors. Matt is the son of Fred Langford, a co-owner, and Jason Metcalf is the son-in-law of the other co-owner, Jay Jamieson. The recent Business After Hours event, on Thursday night, and the Customer Appreciation Day, on Friday, was in part to welcome and recognize the fourth generation of Dodge Boys in Chinook.

Tuzz Langford, on behalf of the owners and employees of Jamieson Motors, welcomed guests to the Business After Hours event Jamieson Motors hosted last Thursday. Predicted snow didn't seem to deter the guests as a good crowd showed up to enjoy cups of chili and holiday cheer. The event was held in the showroom of the dealership.

One holiday specialty being served was the traditional Tom and Jerry drink. It was a nice treat as guests visited into the evening and could look out the showroom windows to see snow coming down. The holiday decorations, holiday cheer and snow seemed to set a great mood for a community event and helped get visitors into the holiday season.

Guests enjoyed a cozy Business After Hours evening hosted by Jamieson Motors in Chinook. Despite a gathering snow storm outside, guests enjoyed chili, holiday libations and took home some vehicle-themed door prizes.

Brandon Nissen, officially welcoming guests on behalf of the Chinook Chamber, which sponsors the Business After Hours program, said, "New businesses feed a local economy, but long-term businesses like Jamieson Motors help keep the community to continue to grow."

Jamieson Motors owners and staff pride themselves on four generations of community support by one of the older businesses in Chinook and the area.

Langford introduced co-owner, Jay Jamieson, and the rest of the "Dodge Boys." Many of the staff have been with the business for years. Then Langford introduced the newest member of the Dodge team, Jason Metcalf. Metcalf is Jay Jamieson's son-in-law. Jason and his family recently moved to Chinook from the Seattle area.

Langford said the Customer Appreciation Day, planned for the next day, was to thank the dealership's customers for their support over the years and to welcome Jason Metcalf to the business and introduce him to the community.
