The Thunderbird faced the Chester-Joplin-Inverness Hawks Saturday afternoon in Chester falling 79-63 to fall to 0-4 on the season.
The Hawks are a talented group and are expected to contend in the District 9C as are the Thunderbirds.
The Thunderbirds put themselves in a big hole early on as they trailed the Hawks 26-9 after eight minutes of action.
Hays/Lodge Pole is a talented team and responded by playing the Hawks even for the rest of the contest.
Thunderbirds finally got their offense rolling in the second half as they scored 44 points in the half with 23 coming in the thirds quarter....
