Chinook Council swears in recently elected council members and Carol Floren as new City Clerk

Mayor Keith Hanson administers the oath of office to newly appointed City Clerk Carol Floren. Floren replaces former City Clerk Gabe Harry who has taken a position at the water treatment plant. Harry will continue to oversee the computer system used by the city.

The February Chinook City Council meeting dealt with a number of items including swearing in of three reelected council members and a new City Clerk, purchase of a new police vehicle, hearing an update on the water treatment plant upgrade and heard first reading of a new ordinance to deal with water shortages if they occur. Council members Mitch Haider, Robert Smith, Chris Thurman, Clint Greytak and Mayor Keith Hanson attended the monthly meeting.

Mayor Hanson called the meeting to order. After the Pledge of Allegiance the council moved and approved minutes from the January council meeting....
