Danny Pratt, District Conservationist with the USDA’s Natural Resources Conservation Service in Chinook, gave a presentation to the monthly breakfast meeting of the Chinook Christian Men’s Group recently. The presentation was to acquaint the group with pulse crops and to learn some of the history and recent increase in acreage, locally, of the crops. Montana is the number one producer of pulse crops in the U.S. and acreages continue to expand.
