Howard Jack Larkin, 85, passed away April 5, 2016 at his home in Chinook, MT. Cremation has taken place and no services are planned at this time. Arrangements have been made with Edwards Funeral Home of Chinook. Condolences may be left for the family at http://www.edwardsfunealhomemt.com.
Howard was born June 30, 1930 in Chinook to Howard C and Lorena Runyan Larkin. He grew up in Chinook and graduated from Chinook High School in 1948. Howard worked as an auto mechanic during high school and for several years afterward for Melvin Chapman at Chat's Service. He served in the U.S. Marine Corp during the Korean War. After completing his military service he attended school at Northroup Aeronautical Institute for aircraft maintenance. Howard and Diane Cline Morris were married in 1959. In 1965 he joined Western Airlines and worked as an aircraft mechanic for Western and Delta Airlines for 27 years. He retired in 1992 and returned to Chinook.
Surviving Howard is his son Kevin of Great Falls, granddaughter Nicole Larkin of Post Falls, ID, step-granddaughter Jessica Chriswell and step great grandson Taylor Martin of Great Falls and great grandson Jackson LeTellier.
Howard was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Diane of 34 years in 1994 and step daughter Joy Morris in 1999.
