Chinook golfers fare well, girls win Malta Invitational, boys second in Shelby and Malta

Left to right, freshman Ashley MacLeod, sophomore Carrie Hofer, junior Courtney Hofer, senior Allie Skoyen and junior Kelsey Mathon made up the winning girls team in Malta.

The Chinook Sugarbeeter boys and girls golf teams continue to work hard on the course and have been lowering their scores as the home stretch is fast approaching.

The 'Beeters were in Shelby Friday and fired some solid rounds and posted quality team scores.

Overall the boys would finish second with a score of 253 while the girls would take home third with a score of 362.

Individually it was senior Derek Bell winning the boys tournament with a personal best round of 80. Senior Ian McIntosh shot a 84 to finish fourth and junior Kade Friede was left in a tie for sixth with a score of 88.
