Independence Bank Scholarship Winners Announced

Independence Bank is pleased to announce the recipients of the Independence Bank New Student Scholarship the 2016-2017 academic year. All of the students will be attending Montana State University-Northern and will receive a $1000 scholarship during their freshman year.

Chye Handran is graduating from Scobey High School and is planning to major in Elementary Education with a minor in Physical Education. Her parents are Steve and Liana Handran of Scobey.

Beau Hyatt is graduating from Bainville High School and plans to pursue a double major in History Education and PE & Health Enhancement. His parents are Chuck and Stacy Hyatt of Bainville.

Riley Kurtz is graduating from Geraldine High School and plans to major in Nursing at Northern. His parents are Dan and Marci Rowland of Geraldine.

Channing Mavencamp is graduating from Saco High School and plans to major in Ag Mechanics Technology. His parents are Charles and Nicole Mavencamp.

Holly Purkett is graduating from Havre High School and plans to major in Nursing. Her parents are Paula Handstede and Mike Purkett.

Callie Fredenberg is graduating from Big Sandy High School. She plans to major in Business and minor in Accounting. Her parents are Jerry and Raelene Fredenberg of Big Sandy.

The IB Scholarship is open to incoming freshman students planning to attend MSU-Northern. To be eligible students must graduate from a high school in Hill, Blaine, Phillips, Valley, Roosevelt, Daniels, Sheridan, Liberty, Choteau, Pondera, or Toole counties.
