Chinook's Kohen Sullivan has been outstanding in the pool this summer for the Lions swim team, winning several individual events while also swimming a leg on the eight and under boys record setting relay teams. "Kohen is a tough competitor with a strong work ethic and a huge desire to be the best swimmer he can be. I am excited to see his efforts be rewarded in the postseason," stated coach Suzanne Farmer.

The summer swim season is reaching the home stretch with just three weekends left. This past Saturday and Sunday a small contingent of swimmers from Harlem and Chinook made the trek east to Glendive. This coming weekend the teams will head to Fort Benton where they will put the finishing touches on the regular season.

The Eastern Divisional swim meet is the following weekend in Malta and the Federation State swim meet is in Hamilton the last weekend of July.

In Glendive Harlem's Andrew Rasmussen again took home high point honors for the 11-12 boys and Chinook's Kohen Sullivan turned in an outstanding effort in the eight and under boys.

Rasmussen claimed victory in the 200 Meter Individual Medley, on Saturday and added wins in the 100 Meter Freestyle and 50 Meter Backstroke on Sunday for his third high point win in a row.

The Chinook Lions also received fine efforts from Rachel Stephens (Eight and under girls), Gemma Sharples (11-12 girls) and Ella Sharples (13-14 girls) as all scored points in Glendive.

Harlem took five swimmers to Glendive, Damian Schuhmacher, Taggert Devaney, Andrew Rasmussen, Maddy Jackson and Kyle Hudon all of whom performed very well in the pool.

This weekend in Fort Benton both swim teams will look to fine tune starts, turns and finishes as they prepare for the post season.
