Bonnie Lea MacLeod, 72, a long-time resident of Chinook, Montana,, passed away July 12, 2016 at Sweet Memorial Nursing Home. Bonnie was born June 22, 1944 in Twin Lakes, Minnesota to Elmer and Ruth Hovland. When Bonnie was about four years old, her family moved to Backus, Minnesota.

She attended schools there. In her late teens, her family moved to Chinook. She met and married Angus MacLeod and made Chinook her home. Bonnie enjoyed cats and had lots of them. She was an avid reader. Surviving her are her husband Angus MacLeod of Chinook, sisters Marie in Minnesota, Petra in Washington and brothers Johnnie in South Dakota and Ralph in Washington. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers Roy, Melvin, and Galyn. Graveside services will be held July 16, 2016 at 10 AM at Kuper Memorial Cemetery.
