Marcella (Marcy) Epler was born in Spokane, WA on February 6, 1943 to Carl and Cleona (Crites) Poore, and lost her battle with cancer on October 21, 2016. Graveside Funeral services will be Saturday, October 29, 2016 at the Harlem Cemetery. Her family resided in Gildford until they moved to Zurich, MT. She spent her childhood in Zurich and in Chinook until she met her sweetheart James (Jim) Epler and were married on September 20, 1961. At that point in time they made their home in Harlem. Marcy devoted her life to her three children and helped with the construction business. She was also employed by Buttrey Food, the Food Farm and Jergeson Plumbing until they purchased the Handy Market in Harlem. Those who knew Marcy can recall her ability to “fix” most anything and beyond these abilities, she could drive a truck and herd cows. Some of her favorite hobbies were fishing, camping, and bowling. She could throw a mean strike for her bowling team. Her grandkids have fond memories of the Handy Market in which they were allowed behind the counter to get candy. Her canned veggies were also a great treat for them. Never did she forget any of their birthdays or Christmas. Marcy is survived by her two daughters Cindy (Darryl) Magnuson of Billings and Candus (Robert) Scheffelmaer of Harlem, grandchildren Richelle (Steve) Colclasure, Scott and Joe (Katy) Magnuson, and great grandson Conner of Billings, Reece Scheffelmaer of Harlem, Lauren Scheffelmaer of Great Falls; sisters Dora (Greg) Skoyen of Chinook, Carmen Poore of Harlem, brother Larry (Linda) Poore of Jacksonville, FL. Extended family include Margaret and Dwight Grimm; the Clare Sands boys, Jack, Steve (Karen), and Craig (Connie). She was preceded in death by her son Curtis, husband James and his parents Keith and Cathleen Epler, brother Merle Poore, parents Carl and Cleone Poore. The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to the residents of Grand Villa for their compassionate friendship, coffee hours and their evenings of puzzles. She truly enjoyed her home at the Villa. Memorials may be made to a charity of your choice or RezQDogs, PAWS or the Harlem Cemetery.
