The Blaine County Library will be closed January 16th in observance of Martin Luther King Day.

The movie today will be "Eddie the Eagle," which runs for 1 hour and 45 minutes and is rated PG-13. Everyone is welcome to attend and refreshments will be served. Inspired by true events, Eddie the Eagle is a feel-good story about Michael "Eddie" Edwards, an unlikely but courageous British ski-jumper who never stopped believing in himself - even as an entire nation was counting him out. With the help of a rebellious and charismatic coach, Eddie takes on the establishment and wins the hearts of sports fans around the world by making an improbable and historic showing at the 1988 Calgary Winter Olympics. "Blue Valley Songbird" starring Dolly Parton, will be the movie January 18th. If anyone has a request for a movie to be shown, please let us know or tell Kristy at the Senior Center.

Story Time is Tuesday mornings at 10:30 a.m. Kids of all ages and abilities are welcome to attend. LEGO Club is Thursdays from 3:30 to 4:30 and is open to kids in grades K-6. Middle School Hangout will be January 23rd from 3:30 to 5:00 and is open to kids in grades 6 through 8.

Florence Foster Jenkins and Middle School the Worst Years of My Life are new movies available this week.

New books this week include several from our patrons' favorite authors and a couple from authors new to our library. "The Games" by James Patterson is a new Private novel. The toppling of a Middle Eastern government suddenly makes a decades-old case a priority again for American military intelligence in "The Old Man" by Thomas Perry. "Below the Belt" by Stuart Woods is a Stone Barrington novel. "The Mistress" is the latest romance from Danielle Steel. "The Second Girl" by David Swinson and "The Widow" by Fiona Barton are thrillers. Both authors are new to our library.

Kelsey's January book display is full of books to help you get healthy! Everyone who's New Year resolution is to start dieting and exercising should stop in and take a look at what we have available to help you meet your goals.
