The Valley Clovers 4-H Club enjoyed a little wintertime activity indoors at the Sleeping Buffalo Hot Springs.

On January 8, 2017 the Valley Clover meeting was held at Sleeping Buffalo. Sleeping Buffalo is a Hot Springs east of Malta, about 17 miles out of town.

The 4th meeting was called to order by President Brooke Elliot. Tyler Schoen led the American pledge and Ross Reed led the 4-H pledge. Roll call was taken, "What is your New Year's Resolution?" The minutes were read and approved. There was no Correspondence and no Treasures Report.

There were reports given by Ross Reed about baking cookies at the Eagles to welcome Brenda Jones as our new office aid. Also Raynee Hasler reported about the Teen Leader's decision to travel to Denver and the upcoming Valentine's Day Dance.

For Old Business we discussed the Guest Speaker possibilities, the club tabled it.

A community service project the club regularly performs is the Birthday Boxes donated to the Food Pantry. These boxes are filled with birthday makings; decorations, cakes, and plates. This was unanimously voted to continue, for 2 boys and 2 girls.

Demonstrations will begin after the February meeting and sign ups were passed around.

One reminder was that Officer Training and Cloverbud Camp will be January 22 at 10:00 am at the Meadowlark Elementary.

Finally after the meeting the club enjoyed swimming, pizza, snacks, and great fun. The winter activity was a blast!
