Story Time is Tuesday mornings at 10:30 a.m. Kids of all ages and abilities are welcome to attend. LEGO Club is Thursdays from 3:30 to 4:30 and is open to kids in grades K-6. Middle School Hangout will be January 23rd from 3:30 to 5:00 and is open to kids in grades 6 through 8.

We have three books this week from authors new to our library. All three are thrillers you won't want to put down until you reach the end! A small town hides big secrets in The Dry, an atmospheric, page-turning debut mystery by award-winning author Jane Harper. "Little Deaths" by Emma Flint is also a debut novel and is one of Entertainment Weekly's most anticipated books of 2017. "Everything You Want Me to Be" by Mindy Mejia is one of People Magazine's Best New Books Pick. "Deepwater Horizon" is the only new movie we have this week.

Last week I listed some of the services patrons may not be aware of or may have forgotten about. Because it is such valuable information I decided we should repeat it again this week! One service that comes to mind these days is our home delivery service. When it is just too cold or slippery for you to venture out safely, give us a call and we will deliver books, audios or movies to you. Another option when it is too yucky out to come to the library, is MontanaLibrary2Go.

With this service you can download audio and e-books using a computer, smartphone or tablet. You just need your library card number and an Internet connection to get started! We can give you your card number if you don't know it and guide you through the process if you need help. Checkout our website and click on the MontanaLibrary2Go link for more information on this service, which is free to you. Another great service we'd love to see more patrons using is Shoutbomb. Shoutbomb will keep you up-to-date with your library account. You will receive text notices about: holds that are available, items that are due soon, and overdue items. Texts will only be sent when activity on your account triggers a message and will usually arrive around 9:00 a.m. The library does not charge a fee to use the Shoutbomb service; however your mobile phone service plan standard text messaging rates may apply. You need to know your library card number to set this service up on your mobile phone. More information and instructions for setting it up can be found on our website.

New additions have been added to our on-going book sale in the entry way. We also have a cart with discarded magazines that are free for the taking.

There is always something going on at the library. Check us out on Facebook or look us up on our website at http:www.blainecountylibrary.org for up to date information about what's going on!
