Be sure to stop at the library and see the outstanding selection of themed basket now on display for the Friends of the Library basket social fundraiser. Bidding is open through May 10. Final bidding will take place at the basket social from 7-8 P.M. There is a five dollar admittance to attend the social with delicious desserts being served, a 50/50 drawing, and a fun time with friends. You will also have the opportunity to view the new steel shelving that was purchased through funds raised by the Friends of the Library with assistance from the County Commissioners. Thanks to all the wonderful volunteers who helped to assemble and install the new shelves.

Did you read your 4 books for the month of April as part of the 2017 Reading Challenge? Contact the library so your name can be entered into the drawing for a gift certificate from a local business.

Summer Reading will soon be here. We have list of supplies needed that may be picked up at the library. We appreciate any donations you can make. Registration for Summer Reading begins May 30 and this year we also have added an Adult Summer Reading component!

This week is Children’s Book Week and the library would like to remind you of the programs we have available for children. Books and Babies meets on Tuesday at 10 A.M. for infants and toddlers with their parents/caregivers. Lego Club meets on Thursday at 6 P.M. for all ages. Story Hour is held on Fridays at 10 A.M. for children ages three through grade five.

When they embark on a search to uncover the lost Book of Ewolda they disover secrets about the great church, the Grail, and about themselves. Charlie Lovett is the author of “The Lost Book of Grail.”

“Heartbreak Hotel” is the latest Alex Delaware novel by Jonathan Kellerman. Alex Berenson has written “The Prisoner,” a John Wells novel. Danielle Steel readers will want to pick up “Dangerous Games.”
