Blaine County School Board/Levy Election Results

School Elections were held across Blaine County on Tuesday, May 2. Trustee positions were on the Ballot for Chinook School District No. 10, Harlem School District No. 12 and Hays/Lodge Pole School District No. 50. Elections were not held in remaining school districts as Trustees were elected by acclimation.

In Harlem two Trustees were elected to three year terms they were Jonathan “Chunker” Walker with 114 votes and Dave Doney Jr. with 105 votes. In School District No. 50 it was Leslie “Josie” Cliff with 96 votes and Kenneth W. Morin with 54 votes.

In Chinook it was Scott Gunderson receiving 300 votes and Justin Simenson garnering 214 to win election as a School District No. 10 Trustee to serve a three year term.

School District No. 10 also held a High School General Fund Levy to impose an increase in local taxes in the amount of $57,535.76 or 7.61 mills for the purpose of maintenance and operations of the school programs in the District at a cost to tax payers of $10.27/$100,000 Market value home or $20.55/$200,000 home. This Levy passed 322-167.

School District No. 10 also held a Elementary School General Fund Levy to impose an increase in local taxes in the amount of $2,389.48 or 0.53 mills for the purpose of maintenance and operations of the school programs in the District at a cost to tax payers of $.72/$100,000 market value home or $1.43/$200,000 home. This Levy passed 322-167.
