In the finale Swank and Pruttis would take a 6-4, 7-6 victory to finish third in Double at the State B/C.

The Sugarbeeters were represented in the singles bracket by senior Nicole McCracken and junior Jamie Roth.

Both Roth and McCracken won their opening matches as Roth defeated Alyssa Barsh from Conrad 6-2, 6-2. McCracken topped MacKenzie Rosenbaum from Fairfield 6-1, 4-6, 6-2.

After suffering setbacks in the next round both Roth and McCracken rebounded to earn victories in the loser out bracket. Roth won her match 6-4, 6- while McCracken won 7-5, 7-5.

Their tournament runs would come to an end in the following match ending a fine season for both athletes on the Tennis court.

The Sugarbeeters once again put together a outstanding season and impressed Head Coach Thom MacLean, "I was really happy with how the girls played. They all played with outstanding heart and determination. I couldn't be more proud of them."
