After completing their sophomore year Kourtney Hanson and Ashley MacLeod have been named HOBY winners.

HOBY has conducted annual, all expense paid seminars since 1958. HOBY Leadership Seminars are three-to four-day events held each spring in your state. HOBY'S purpose is to bring together a select group of high school sophomores who have demonstrated leadership ability so that they can interact with groups of distinguished leaders in business, government, education, and the professions to discuss present and future issues.

Goals to take away from this experience are: To seek out, recognize and develop leadership potential commencing with high school sophomores; to encourage and assist students in their quest for self-development and self-identification; to introduce potential leaders to today's recognized leaders through informal, give-and-take discussions on a variety of current, critical topics; to provide through this exposure the opportunity to explore America's incentive system and the democratic process and community service.

This years HOBY winners were Sophomores Kourtney Hanson and Ashley MacLeod.
