John Haldeman and Jess Murphy race down the track at the Hi-Line Dragstrip in Malta Saturday during the first stop of the Blaine County Cruise. Haldeman's 70's model Chevy and Murphy's 50's Model Chevy made for one of the more interesting races.. A record 70 registered cars, trucks and motorcycles made the trip. The two day event included a dinner and a movie each night as well as a breakfast Saturday morning that made it a great family event.
From the beginning to Blaine County Cruise has been an incredibly popular event For many to participate arm as they get into the heart of their summer schedule this past weekend Blaine County Cruisers event attracted a record number 70 registered cars as they made the trip east to Malta and back Saturday.
Since the beginning the cruise has had good numbers through the years and steady growth is a direct result of a well-organized activity. The community was welcome to take part in the activities Friday evening at the Blaine County Fairground as festivities got underway.
