Beat the heat and cool off at the library! Relax in the reading room while reading a newspaper or magazine. Bring in the family to play in the children’s area. Check out a new book.

The Harlem Library is now part of MontanaLibrary2Go. This service allows you to download ebooks and audio books using your library card number. Call or stop by for instructions for your device.

Three new crime suspense novels are “Full Wolf Moon” by Lincoln Child, “Proving Ground” by Peter Blauner, and “Robert B. Parker’s Little White Lies” by Ace Atkins.

“A Simple Favor” by Darcey Bell is a psychological thriller that “exposes the dark underbelly of female friendship.” It will hold you in its grip until the final page.

Two great summer reads are “The Sunshine Sisters” by Jane Green and “Secrets in Summer” by Nancy Thayer.

Lisa Ko is the author of “The Leavers.” One morning eleven-year-old Deming Guo’s mother leaves for work at a nail salon and never returns. Deming is eventually adopted, renamed, and moves to upstate New York where he struggles to assimilate while holding on to memories of his mother. Told from the perspective of Deming/Daniel as he grows into a young man and his mother, Polly, this novel tells the story of loss and learning to live with mistakes of the past.

A new biography is “Ernest Hemingway” by Mary V. Dearborn.

Let the library know if you have read your four books for June as part of the 2017 Reading Challenge.
