Chinook Lions win Relay, Team titles at Malta swim meet

The Chinook Lions Swim team started the second half of their season on a high note winning the Malta Invitational team and relay championships.

Chinook's Daniel Tilleman and Katie Tilleman each share High Point honors and several swimmers won individual championships.

Katie won all three of her events finishing first in the 25 Meter Breaststroke (:22.77), the 25 Meter Backstroke (:22.40) and the 25 Meter Butterfly (:22.29).

Daniel won the 50 Meter Freestyle (:36.05) and the 100 Meter Freestyle (1:22.82) and finished second in the 50 Meter Breaststroke (:51.74).

Brockton Elliot was the 9-10 50 Meter Butterfly with a time :43.14.

Hallie Neibauer was victorious in the 9-10 girls 50 Meter Freestyle touching the wall in :35.94.

Oskar Pula won the boys 11-12 50 Meter Freestyle in :32.91. In the 13-14 50 Meter girls Freestyle in was Chinooks

Cherish Borjas winning the event with a time of :33.14.

The Lions Relay teams were obviously very strong in winning the team relay championship and posted several winning teams.

The eight and under girls won both the 100 Meter Freestyle and 100 Meter Medley Relay. The girls included: Mara Edwards, Amyerah Kelly, Lori Mord, Katie Tilleman.

The 9-10 boys consisting of Dentin DePreist, Brockton Elliot, Kohen Sullivan and Daniel Tilleman also turned the trick winning both the freestyle and Medley Relays as did the 9-10 girls team of Kiera Hellman, Evy Jendro Jeni Mord (Freestyle), Amanda Mord (Medley) and Hallie Neibauer..

The 11-12 girls team of Britton Elliot, Belle Elliot, Unique Jendro and Anna Terry won the 200 Meter Medley Relay.

The 13-14 Boys were winners of the 200 Meter Medley and the 200 Meter Freestyle. Their team consisted of Brad Borjas, Benton Elliot, Reese Elliot and Erik Pula.

The team will head to either Plentywood or Hamilton this week.
